Fund for Teachers

Mission Statement 

Fund for Teachers enriches the personal and professional growth of teachers by supporting them as they identify and pursue opportunities around the world that make the greatest impact on their practice, students and school communities.

2017 Fellows:

David Day, Uinta County School District #1, Evanston                                                           

Fellowship Brief:  Develop and teach English as a Foreign Language classes in China to broaden personal teaching experience, experience Chinese culture and bolster cross-cultural understandings that will benefit future Chinese students and their families.

Sharolyn Griffith, Lincoln County School District #2, Afton                                                        

Fellowship Brief:  Examine with National Geographic Israel and Jordan to provide students with a well-rounded and informed perspective on one of the world's oldest religious and geo-political conflict regions.

Tara Jones-Alley, Laramie County School District #1, Cheyenne                                                                

Fellowship Brief:  Enroll in a language immersion course in Guatemala while also volunteering at a local school to support work with students from Spanish-speaking American homes and mitigate student dropouts.
